With A Full Biography Jimmy Page Has Become Inspiration For Many Guitarists

Described as one of the most influential, versatile, and powerful
songwriters of all time, the biography Jimmy Page has written for himself
is one of pure rock genius. Starting as a session player in London, the
legendary Hall of Fame guitar players has been instrumental in creating
one of rock and roll's all time greatest bands; Led Zeppelin. Largely a
self-taught guitar player, Page started at a very young age with a guitar
he found after his family moved into a new home.

Getting his start in college as a session player, Jimmy Page wanted to be
able to strike out on his own and write his own original music. Initially
playing electric bass, Page began playing with the Yardbirds in 1964.
However, after some internal strife, and key personnel leaving the band,
Page was asked to reform the band leading to the eventual supergroup; Led
Zeppelin.

With a tremendous sound to his guitar, which was more raw, and edgier,
than anything currently being played, Page recruited singer Robert Plant,
drummer John Bonham, and John Paul Jones to form Led Zeppelin. His
tremendous success with the Yardbirds previously, also lent to the
originality he would have in the studio. While not known to be a very
technical guitar player, he made up for it in his ambition to make Led
Zeppelin one of the top bands of the era. The biography Jimmy Page is made
even more powerful when you see the multitudes of guitar players who have
been directly influenced by the man.

After the death of John Bonham, Led Zeppelin was no more, but not after
being a top band in the world. Jimmy Page did not stop experimenting and
being a major influence in the studio. Page collaborated with many
different bands and even dabbled in starting another band, XYZ. The band
never recorded anything, but it was to serve as the basis for getting Page
back into playing guitar again.

After several years, Page collaborated with Paul Rodgers to record two
albums with The Firm. Reaching Billboard success, Page eventually began
playing with several different bands and having tremendous success as a
collaborator and fill in guitarist. In 2007, after 17 years of dealing
with the tough, personal loss of his good friend, Bonham, Page agreed to a
Led Zeppelin reunion tour, which would put a final emphasis to the
biography Jimmy Page, has written for himself.
